Dingy

What a silly, small boat. Mine is much bigger.

Dahlia

Dahlia's, what a beautiful fall flower! It looks so lovely in arrangements. I think it's my *new* favorite.

And there's more...

I forgot to mention we went to Bye, Bye Liver (hilarious, go if you get the opp) and went to Wisconsin for a week. AND there is still a week of summer left, with awesome weather. Nice.

Goodbye, summer.

A girl hurries by me to get home wearing a tank top, jeans and flip flops yesterday at 6:30 pm. She looks chilly. She must be thinking to herself, "It wasn't this cold when I left this morning..." It was 62 degrees and rainy.

I look down. I'm wearing a zip up hoodie and jeans -- and kind of cold myself. Yup. Summer is over. When did this happen? We try and think it's summer for as long as we can, until tank tops make us cold and flip flops aren't the best choice. That happened yesterday.

Which made me think: What did I even do this summer? Did I have any fun?

Parks: Lincoln Park, Oz, Grant & Millenium at least once every weekend. I'm a Park Junkie, what can I say?
Concerts: Lolla, jazz concert at Andy's
Beach/Lake: North Ave, Lincoln Park waterfront picnic, Lakeview fireworks
City: Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo & Conservatory, Sky Deck @ Sears Tower, Cool Globes
Museums: Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum
Shopping: Where didn't we go shopping is the question. Mostly on Clark, though.
Events: Air & Water Show, Taste of Chicago, Fourth of July fireworks, Harry Potter @ Navy Pier IMAX, first Cubs game :), Taste of Lincoln
Food: Too much stuffed pizza, hot dogs with the works and Olde Style to count. All the Chicago favorites, what can you expect?

Good times. Bring on the fall.

Bad biker.

I understand that the sign refers to no bike riding on the sidewalk, but still -- it's funny, eh?

I had an amazing Labor Day Weekend, filled full of nothing but hanging out in Lincoln Park, going to the zoo and conservatory and just relaxing by the lake.
